Black Infinity Sandpaper

Waterproof cloth-backed sandpaper for rust removal, polyester putty grinding, and leveling on damp or wet surfaces. Grits P36 to P220, sheets and rolls. W291 Tatu. Some surfaces call for water — whether due to the type of material, ambient temperature, or finishing requirements. Black Infinity was developed exactly for this moment: a waterproof cloth backing that maintains its structure even in continuous wet use, without tearing, loading, or losing cut prematurely. Indicated for rust removal, grinding and finishing of polyester and acrylic putties, and preparation and leveling of metallic surfaces in damp or wet conditions. Available in sheets and rolls with widths from 50mm to 225mm for use on any backing pad or equipment.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

Waterproof Cloth The structure that doesn’t yield when water enters the process. The specially treated cloth backing is what sets Black Infinity apart from conventional cloth sandpaper. During prolonged contact with water — whether wet sanding metal or leveling putty with lubrication — the cloth retains its shape, tear resistance, and grit anchorage intact. No loss of performance due to backing softening, no tearing mid-job. Brown Aluminum Oxide Abrasive Efficient cutting on dry or wet surfaces. Brown aluminum oxide combines high hardness with toughness — and this combination works equally well with or without lubrication. Its self-sharpening ability ensures new cutting edges form as the abrasive wears, maintaining active performance longer and providing a more uniform finish on each pass, regardless of working conditions. Open Coat The abrasive breathes — and yields more. The spacing securely between grains in an open coat allows sanding debris — rust dust, putty fragments, metal particles — to easily detach during use. With water acting as a lubricant and cleaning agent in the interstices, Black Infinity loads significantly less than closed coat sandpaper, sustaining cut longer even on highly loading materials. Excellent Adhesion and Abrasive Anchorage Graings stay put — even underwater. The dual-resin system ensures a robust bond between the abrasive and cloth even under constant pressure and prolonged water contact. Grains that loosen during wet sanding scratch and contaminate the surface — as well as contaminating the lubricating water, which then carries loose debris to other areas. FEPA Standard 10 calibrated grits, a predictable sequence from grinding to refinement. FEPA certification ensures each grit number matches its declared size exactly. With 10 grits available — from P36 for heavy stock removal to P220 for refinement — the sanding progression is consistent and predictable, without granulometric variations that compromise the transition between stages.
