The Tatu Fiber Sanding Disc is recommended for weld removal, surface leveling and cleaning, deburring, grinding, and general toolmaking applications. Made with brown aluminum oxide abrasive, it must be used on angle grinders or sanders, always respecting the maximum permitted RPM.

Mounting Instructions

  1. Mount the specific backing pad for fiber discs on the sander or grinder spindle.
  2. Center the fiber disc on the backing pad.
  3. Place the lock nut and tighten using the appropriate tool.

  • Eye Protection: Grinding operations generate sparks and filings; the use of safety glasses or face shields is mandatory.
  • Necessary PPE: Use protective gloves and dust masks appropriate for the operation.
  • Equipment: Never use the machine without the original protective guard; it prevents pieces from hitting the operator in the event of accidental disc breakage.
  • Standardization: Consult the ABNT NBR 15230 standard for complete guidelines on abrasive tools.

Storage and Disposal

  • Storage: Keep in original packaging, at a temperature between 15°C and 27°C.
  • Conditions: Relative humidity between 35% and 50%, kept away from floors, windows, and humid areas.
  • Shelf Life: 5 years if storage conditions are met.
  • Disposal: Collect waste in bags or boxes; send to a sanitary landfill if recycling is not possible.
